THE HUSTLER
Léo, the “rich kid”, was single at the age of 27. His best friend Dan had a string of conquests. Their often boozy evenings always ended the same way: Dan would leave on the arm of some pretty creature, and Leo would drive off alone in his luxury sports car.
Dan, tired of seeing his friend alone, signed Leo up for speed dating. Shy Léo wasn't too keen on the idea. But he reluctantly agreed.

The arrival of these two young men, dressed like princes, was very much noticed. The women were already in position at their tables. And throughout the evening, one date followed another. Léo couldn't stand it any longer when he came face to face with Lily, a sophisticated young brunette with a plunging neckline. He could hardly look her in the eye. Which made her smile. The interview was conclusive and a next appointment was arranged. Dan, who had observed the scene from afar, was delighted for his friend.
Lily was rather vague about her past and didn't refuse any of Leo's gifts. As the days passed, he grew more and more attached to this beautiful woman. They only saw each other in public places. But the beautiful woman became more and more insistent. She wanted intimacy and suggested Léo take her home with him. But his home was his parents', and he was a little ashamed of the situation.
His family was very selective and wouldn't accept just any woman for their only son. Leo arranged the meeting, very anxiously. Lily had prepared for the dinner in a designer gown and very distinguished. As she was being interrogated, Lily looked at all the beautiful things around her. She thought all her objects and paintings were very, very valuable. She had managed to take a few photos without her hosts knowing. Without realizing it, Leo informed her about the property's security features.

After a few months, Lily had become the daughter of the house, coming and going as she pleased. Much appreciated by the servants and Léo's parents, she sometimes slept over. Léo was more in love than ever, and gave his belle the most sumptuous gifts.
One evening, when the whole house was asleep, Lily got up slowly and made a call from the bedroom terrace, before slipping into Léo's bed. It wasn't long before a loud crash awakened everyone. Several hooded, armed men had entered and were stationed in front of each room. Within minutes, they had taken all the valuables and forced Léo's father to open his safe, before taking all the money it contained.
By the time the police arrived, the perpetrators were long gone. The whole family was traumatized.
After this unfortunate event, Lily became increasingly scarce, claiming that she had been very frightened and felt as if she were reliving the nightmare as soon as she entered the house. Although insurance had saved Léo's family from bankruptcy, Léo was distraught at the loss of one of the stolen items.

Lily, though still in love, eventually left Léo, leaving him in a state of immense sadness. He couldn't bring himself to lose her, especially with the plans he had for their relationship. He waited for a good opportunity to talk to her about it, but it never came.
Lily often seemed pensive, reminiscing about her wonderful times with Leo. She wondered what her future would have been like if things had turned out differently. Leo spent his nights locked away in his room, moping and inconsolable.
Lily met up with a group of friends in a gloomy, dark backyard. When she opened the door, she saw the loot collected by her accomplices. She sat down to share. Just then, a man handed her a jewel box containing an engagement ring set with an enormous diamond...
